SVBONY SV199 - Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector for Planetary Observation and Photography
The atmospheric dispersion corrector (ADC) reduces color changes caused by atmospheric dispersion and improves the imaging effect of planets, especially those at low altitude.
Features
- Pair of prismatic lenses with a double coating process to reduce light loss;
- Broadband anti-reflective coating (300 nm to 700 nm);
- 1.25 inch barrels on the sides of the camera and eyepiece with male T2 thread;
- Simple adjustment thanks to the T2 thread and 1.25 inch barrels;
Functions
The atmospheric dispersion corrector uses two prisms with a minimum quality of 1/4λ BK7 to correct false colors introduced by the Earth's atmosphere.
- Declination adjustment of 4.5 degrees;
- Adjustment scale to fine-tune the dispersion correction;
- Coaxial locking interface to ensure sufficient coaxiality;
Benefits
The use of the atmospheric dispersion corrector significantly improves the sharpness of planetary and lunar images, especially in the luminance channel during LRGB imaging.
